    • Next, choose the Accountant’s copy option and then click on Client Activities
    • To eliminate the restrictions, simply click on Remove Restrictions
    • To give the confirmation of the change, click on yes, I want to remove restrictions and then hit the Ok button
  • Create and Send a new accountant copy to your accountant
  • Create an Accountant’s Copy to your accountant by following the two different ways. Either create a file to put on a USB or online hosting service else you can take help from ACFT to send a file with the use of the web.
  • To create a file to put on a USB, reach out to the File menu where click on Send company file
  • Next, click on the Accountant’s copy and then choose client activities
  • Click on Save File and then tap on Next
  • Now click on Accountant’s copy and then hit Next
  • Enter the date of dividing and then click on the Next option
  • To send a file through the Accountant File Transfer Service, reach out to the file and where pick the Send Company file
  • Next, click on the Accountant’s copy and then choose client activities
  • Click on Send to Accountant and then hit Next
  • Now click on Accountant’s copy and then hit Next
  • Enter the date of dividing and then click on the Next option
  • Enter both the email address (you and your accountant)
  • Give a password to the file to ensure security and also provide the same password to your accountant to open it

Step 1: Update QuickBooks to the Latest Release version

Check the most recent release of QuickBooks Desktop introduced by Intuit by visiting their official site. Compare your existing QuickBooks Desktop version with the Intuit QuickBooks version and check whether you’re having the same or not. 

Step 2: Temporarily moving the File 

  • Using shortcut keys Windows + E to open your Windows Explorer. Then locate the folder/directory where you want to store your file
  • Click right anywhere inside the folder, where pick New option and then New folder
  • Give a valid name to your newly created folder without a combination of some special characters 
  • Reach the folder where your portable company file or accountant’s copy is located 
  • Point your cursor on the file name and make a right-click to choose Copy from the drop-down menu
  • Go to your newly created folder where use shortcut keys (Ctrl+V) to paste the data you have 
  • Eliminate all the special characters if you have any, you can do this by right-clicking on the file name. Click on Rename from the drop-down menu
  • Do all the necessary changes and then hit the Enter button

Step 3: Open or Restore the File

  • Press and hold the Ctrl key to run QuickBooks
  • Next, restore your portable company file or click to open the accountant’s copy 
  • If you’re still facing the same error and unable to restore the file then move to follow the next solution worry-free

Step 4: Repairing QuickBooks 

  • Quit QuickBooks and then start to repair by opening the Control panel 
  • Go inside the Control Panel where click on Program and Features
