Solutions For Quickbooks Error 6147

Solution 1- Copy the backup file and Paste into another local computer

  • First, you need to check your computer is not hosted.
  • Then you have to navigate your Quickbooks “File menu” > “Utilities”.
  • Next, you have to Stop the hosting to “Multiuser Access” and then press the Ok button to stop hosting.
  • Now, you have to restore your company file which is already stored in your computer system.
  • If you are still facing this problem then you need to check your company file name is less than 210 characters.

Solution 2- Trend Micro Antivirus Security For Your Computer

  • First, you need to move in antivirus settings.
  • Then you have click on “Ignore Path” and ignore your company file folder.
  • Now you have to hold the Ctrl key and then open your Quickbooks, To find out where your data file is located.
  • Then Quickbooks open without loading any company file.
  • From the keyboard press the F2 key then a pop-up window will appear in which you will get the product details including where your company file is stored.

Solution 3: Configure the setting of  Trend Micro Active scan

  • Before moving to the solution you’re must-have to keep folder aside that hold company file.
  • By holding the control key from the key open the Quickbooks software.
  • Now you have open the application without loading the company file.
  • From the window of “No company file” choose the company file.

Solution 4- You need to Run Rebuild Utility

  • First, you need to move into the File menu and then choose the Utilities.
  • Here you will get an option of “Rebuilt data” click on it.
  • If you get any message for backup of your company file then click OK.

Solution 5- Fix the issue of .ND and .TLG file

  • First, you need to navigate the path of your company file.
  • Then you have to find out the .ND and .TLG file.
  • When you get these files then you have to right-click on these files and then choose the option of “Rename” then you have to rename them with .ND old and .TLG old extensions.

Solution 6- You need to Rename your .ADR file into the Quickbooks working file

  • First, you need to navigate the path of your company file.
  • Now you need to find out the .ADR folder.
  • After that, you need to enter into the folder where you will find a file now you have to right-click on this file and then rename the file with .qbw extension the again open Quickbooks you will not get the Quickbooks error 6147.
