Case 1: If You are on an Internet Network

1. Open your Internet Explorer(IE)

  • Click on Tools then Internet Options
  • Reach to General tab then Browsing History
  • Click on the delete option
  • Check whether your Temporary Internet files and Website files are checked or not. If not, make it selected. 

Note: There is no need to clear up cookies, it loads your previously browsing tab very quickly.

  • Choose to Delete then hit the Ok button

2. Reach to the Command Prompt(cmd) and flush the DNS

  • Click on Start >> All Programs
  • Choose Accessories >> Run
  • Type CMD in the Run box text field to open the Command Prompt
  • Manually type ipconfig/flushdns then hit Enter

3. Attempt to Send Payroll

  • Try to send your payroll data
  • Reboot your service once you send your data

Case 2: If you’re not on an Internet Network

Note: On each step try to resend your payroll to check whether the issue gets resolved or still the same. Sometimes you’re not required to go through all the steps to fix the payroll issue.

1. Restart your PC/Computer

Do it by following the simple operation:

  • Move your cursor to Start then right-click on it
  • Click on Shut Down or Sign out >> Restart
  • Now your system will restart, it’s time to resend your payroll. If it fails again then move to the next step.

2. Flush the DNS

  • Click on Start >> All Programs
  • Choose Accessories >> Run
  • Type CMD in the Run box text field to open the Command Prompt
  • Manually type ipconfig/flushdns then hit Enter

3. Deletion or removing the temporary Internet Files

  • Click on Tools then Internet Options
  • Reach to General tab then Browsing History
  • Click on the delete option
  • Check whether your Temporary Internet files and Website files are selected or not. If not, make it selected. 

Note: There is no need to clear up cookies, it loads your previously browsing tab very quickly.

  • Choose to Delete then hit the Ok button

4. Repeat Step 2

Try to resend the payroll. If you’re unsuccessful to do this, then follow the same steps discussed in Step 2.

  • Open your Internet Explorer(IE)
  • Reach to the Command Prompt and flush the DNS

If the payroll sends successfully then follow the same steps listed below.

5. Clear the Publisher’s Certificate Revocation Checkbox

  • Open Internet Explorer by clicking on it
  • Click on Tools >> Internet Options
  • Open the Advanced Tab
  • Scroll down to the Security section then click on the uncheck option: Check for publisher’s revocation and check for server certificate revocation

6. Restart your computer and then try to resend the payroll one more time

  • Move your cursor to Start then right-click on it
  • Click on Shut Down or Sign out >> Restart
  • Now your system will restart, it’s time to resend your payroll again

Case 3: If you have Be Safe Application

If the safe application is installed on your system, you are no longer able to send your information even unable to move the data to another location. Be safe application blockages the financial information transmitted to and from the computer. 

Note: Try to follow all the steps whenever your issue is unresolved. But after the one-step is completed check your problem still remains the same or resolved.

 1. Restart your Computer 

  • Move your cursor to Start then right-click on it
  • Click on Shut Down or Sign out >> Restart
  • Now your system will restart, it’s time to resend your payroll again

2. Restoring the Internet Explorer Advanced Settings

Inside the Internet Options window of the IE. Make sure you have checked the TLS 1.0 also check Use TLS 1.1 and Use TLS 1.2 are unchecked. Now it’s time to restore the Internet Explorer Advanced Settings.

3. Check that you are on an Internet Network and pick the suitable option for you

Follow the simple operations to check whether you are on an Internet Network or not.

4. Make sure you’re on a single-user mode while transmitting the payroll data to the server

  • Ensure that there is not someone else logged into the QuickBooks Desktop with the same credentials you have
  • If you found someone else, then ask them to log out soon
  • Choose the File menu then Switch to Single-user mode
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to continue to switch then attempt to log in once again
  • Once you have all done, try to send the payroll data

5. Getting the Payroll Updates

  • Click on Employees >> Get Payroll Updates
  • Choose Update and check all the latest or recent updates of QuickBooks payroll. If you have any payroll update then attempt to update it
  • Once the download the finished, click to restart the QuickBooks Desktop

6. Check and Verify your System Date and Time Properties

  • From the Microsoft Windows Taskbar, click twice the time display to make changes in the time zone
  • If the date and year settings, as well as your time zone, is not appropriate inside the Date and Time Settings then correct them and then hit the Ok button

7. Restart your Computer

8. Ensure that you’re using Internet Explorer as your default browser

  • Launch Internet Explorer
  • Then click on the Gear icon, Get it at the upper right corner, or either you can choose Tools
  • Choose Internet Options >> Programs tab

  • Once done, hit the OK button, now resend the payroll information one more time, if you are still unable to do this, then move onwards.

Note: You have to follow up the same steps if you are working with Internet Explorer 10.0 to make it your default browser.

9. Ensure that you can access a secure Website

Your personal banking institution website comes inside the secure website and can be easily accessible like https://qbdt.payroll.intuit.com/. Now try again to resend the payroll information. If you are still not able to access a secure site, this means your configuration of the Internet or Firewall has not been properly configured again.

 10. Check Whether you have downloaded the Latest Tax Table Updates and QuickBooks Desktop

Ensure that the tax tables have been updated as per the latest release. On the other hand, the QuickBooks Desktop version you are working on is according to the latest release version. If you don’t know about it, then go and check it from Intuit’s official site. If you have an outdated version, then update it to the latest with Intuit’s help. It’s time to check that your error issue is resolved or still remains the same. If resolved, then attempt to send payroll data to verify it.

11. Clear the Publisher’s Certificate Revocation checkbox then restart your computer

  • Launch Internet Explorer >> Tools >> Internet Options
  • Click on the Advanced tab
  • Move your cursor to the Security section and uncheck the Check for publisher’s certificate revocation box then hit the OK option

 12. Using a Wireless Internet Connection 

If you are working with a wireless internet connection and have computer access with a cable internet connection, attempt to send from that computer. There are heavy chances that wireless connections are insecure. 

 13. Switch Shared Download to Yes or No

  • Click on Help then Update QuickBooks Desktop
  • Go to the Options tab then click on Yes or No for Shared Download (We recommend No to be picked)
  • Now try again to resend the payroll information, if the issue still not gets resolved then move to the next option.

 14. Revalidation of Payroll Subscription

You have to revalidate the Payroll subscription separately. Go through the separate steps for QuickBooks Payroll Basic/ Enhanced and QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted. 

QuickBooks Payroll Basic/ Enhanced

  • Click on Employees >> My Payroll Service >> Manage Service Key
  • In the lower-left, click on Edit
  • Enter your service key then Next >> Finish
  • A message prompts on your screen “You’ve retrieved the latest payroll update and validated your Payroll subscription.”
  • Now try again to resend the payroll information, if the issue presents then move to the next option

QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted

  • Go to Employees >> My Payroll Service >> Account Info/Preferences 
  • Then the QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Account Maintenance page will be opened
  • Quit the QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Account Maintenance page, a validating service window will appear to you
  • A message prompts on your screen “You’ve retrieved the latest payroll update and validated your Payroll subscription”
  • Now try again to resend the payroll information, if the issue remains the same then move to the next option

 15. Check your QuickBooks Desktop Internet Connection

  • Go to the Help menu, then click on Internet Connection Setup
  • Click on Use my computer’s Internet connection settings to establish a connection when this application accesses the Internet then hit Next
  • Choose Advanced Connection Settings >> LAN Settings. Ensure that the Automatically Detect Settings checkbox have selected and the proxy server checkbox hasn’t selected then enter OK >> Done
  • Now check the issue unresolved or it remains the same. If it still appears then move to the next solution.

 16. Add some Trusted Websites

Add *.quickbooks.com, *.payroll.com, and *.quicken.com as your trusted web sites then resend your payroll information.

If you are using a Router

If you are working with a router, you have to reset it manually so the routing tables are not full. Sometimes you may get this error when your routing tables are completely filled. Commercial routers will have limited memory allocated to this.
